Suicide: Listen to the question…Before you Answer.
My Today.com MOOD is:
I feel good and positive.
Suicide: Listen to the question… Before you Answer. I learned the hard way and if you’re consumer, I’m sure you did as well. When you’re talking to your doctor, there are three rules you must live by.
Rule One: Tell The Truth about how you are feeling and how you have been doing. This way, I think, could/will limit all the misdiagnoses and less pills you will have to take.
Rule Two: NEVER, NEVER, NEVER joke around with your doctor! Man the guy writes down everything you do, and kidding around is just another thing you’ll get a pill for.
Rule Three: Listen to the question… Before you Answer! Especially when it’s about suicide!

Mental Health Humor : Well, If you don’t get it, that could mean you have never seen a mental health professional. When you’re in distress, they are trained to ask “do you feel suicidal?” Then they have to ask, “do you have a plan?”

So very true. It can mean life or death! Is this really not obvious, though?

Thanks, Mike… You would think this would be obvious, yet when your the one going through it, wanting help and actually doing something to get it is the difference between your life and death.

My mental goalie isn’t the swiftest chap, and sarcastic/ironic answers to questions have a terrible, terrible habit of popping out of my mouth. I could just imagine the answers that could wind up scaring a shrink into committing me!
