Free Mental Health Humor : Weekly Review July 5, to July 11 -
What a week! Another BUSY week! Where does the time go? I hope you all had a Great Week! Did you smile some? Did you laugh a lot? Did you make someone else smile or laugh? There are many opportunities weekly to bring joy to another person’s life. I hope you seize the opportunity! One simple way is being kind. Whether our week turned out as good as we hoped or not, we can all treat others the way we want to be treated…the Golden Rule. In particular, those who aren’t feeling well or going through a challenging situation. We can’t make everybody laugh all the time but we can encourage. We all need encouragement to press forward through our days and weeks. Any time you can do something nice, a kind word or deed, for someone else - now that’s a good day! Let’s review our week together here at MentalHealthHumor.Today.com…So we can recap not just the cartoon but highlight your comments on our daily cartoons! Hopefully you had an opportunity to comment! Thank you for your continued support! Here’s how the week shaped up:Oh Yeah, just a reminder, Please Subscribe to our blog via e-mail (MentalHealthHumor.com ) and keep up to speed..

Sunday the blog was featured - great! I worked today - hooray! I made it out the door. Did you make it out your door? Have you felt that personal triumph? Does anxiety hold you back a bit from leaving the house? I think all of us can appreciate other issues that mental illness bring into our lives - financial ones. It’s inevitable, when you’re sick, you can’t work. When you can’t work, you can’t get paid! Thanks TG and Electricmousie for your encouraging words. It’s nice to know the there are people out there who “get it” - understand the struggles! Keep pushing through the struggles - We can all make it! |

Ask Dr. Bob, Bob - Caregivers Cartoon asked who will help the helper? They need help, too. They are at risk for burn out! Especially my wife cause not only does she worry a lot about me but our 4 kids as well. As a society, we must care for the caregiver. They need our love, support and help or at least our THANKS! Electricmousie - Kudos to your husband too. Let’s all try hard to be kind to the one who tries hard to help us anyway they can in the good times and bad! They don’t forget about us so let’s not forget about them - o.k. |

Diet Delusions Cartoon addressed the weighty issue of weight loss. Did you check out www.fatmanunleashed.com run by Israel Lagares? I like his approach to weight loss.Thank you Electricmousie for taking the time to comment regularly! Yes, electricmousie, I hope my plans work out too. We all need to take baby steps in the right direction. Keep positive - We can loose it - eventually! |

Eight Ball Therapy Cartoon discussed the issue of adequate access to mental health care and treatment. Lack of insurance makes it a real challenge to get the proper help you need! Pinkink - thanks for your comment. Yes, I agree, it stinks that those who need help the most can’t always get it when they need it! Electricmousie- Insightful! How do I move to Canada? -lol |

Reduce Depression Cartoon highlighted the benefits of exercise. Check out what the “American Journal of Preventive Medicine” has to say about exercise and mild to moderate depression. Let’s get moving, walking, running and dancing to stay active. Be sure, of course, to consult your doctor before starting any exercise program to be on the safe side. Lil, I appreciate all your practical suggestions. Thank you for sharing these helpful hints! Glad Electricmousie, you have a good grip on the illness now…keep it up! Thank you for your suggestions as well.. I’ll Take the Stairs! |

5 questions Friday - we interviewed Tina Samuels. Actually, Tina inspired my Pet Therapy Cartoon. Did you like it? Tina is a freelance author and is a voice that rings out and stands up as a patient care advocate for people with “invisible diseases.” THANK YOU Tina for seeing and caring about the “invisible”! That’s something we all should do! Tina herself suffers from Interstitial Cystitis - which is extremely painful. She deals with chronic pain and related sister illnesses of Fibro and CFS. Between watching her diet, stress management, and medications, she is living a fairly normal life now. Way to go Tina! Tina helped us to appreciate the benefits of pets. Many feel their pets give them a reason to live, cope and go on. Be sure to check out Tina’s blog: http://chronicpain.today.com …Violtteb had this to say: “Also, I can’t say enough about what pets offer an individual in the way of coping and companionship.” Do you have a pet? Tell me about your pet? We have a stray dog we adopted…his name is Sammy, or Pup-Pup or Boo, Boo depending on which one of my kids you ask. |
| Thanks again to all our loyal readers, supporters and commenters…“I hope, we are all on the same page now and moving in the same direction…toward Happiness, Healing, and of course, Laughter! Enjoy the rest of your Week-end! And be sure to “Keeping Laughing!” | |
