Sunday’s Cartoon - Phenylethylamine…WHAT? discussed the possible mood lifting benefits of chocolate consumption. Who doesn’t like chocolate? My wife loves it. I bet you do. Keyster94 said: “I wonder if that is why I CRAVE chocolate when I’m in a bad mood…” Electricmousie said…”may be I can try it the next time I’m feeling down.” I say why not try it but like everything else in moderation! Monday mental health humor, cartoons, jokes, chocolate Monday’s Cartoon Ask Dr. Bob Bob- Is chocolate really good for depression cartoon explored that topic. “Researchers believe that our body releases phenylethylamine when we are in love, thus producing the uplifted mood associated with love. At one time, it was rumored that chocolate produces the same feelings because of the Phenylethylamine it contains. Unfortunately, tests now show that the phenylethylamine in chocolate is broken down before it can affect the brain in this way.” Violetteb wrote: “Did somebody say CHOCOLATE???” Hauteness: “Chocolate always brightens my mood!” Xmarks, thanks for your chocolate consumption tips! Electricmousie said “Love eating chocolate …it’s a real treat because I don’t indulge.” Dr. Kc/DocintheBiz says: “I think putting a lighter edge or some humor on mental illness is a wonderful thing. Finding the light and positive in anything we are facing is great and a healthy way to cope.” Thanks Dr. Kc for your thoughts and support!
