Free Mental Health Humor : Weekly Review August 10th - August 16th

The work week is over. Hooray! Are you enjoying your week-end? (Summer is quickly coming to an end.) Hope so…I am. Although, I am trying to get caught up on somethings and it feels good to accomplish some goals. (Even little ones.) How about you? It’s good to be productive. So technically, the work day hasn’t quite ended for me. Probably not for you either. Especially if you’re a hard working parent. It’s Saturday and it’s getting late, too. You know what time it is…Time for our week-end Weekly Review. Thanks for checking out the cartoons this week. Did you have a favorite? Did it make your day? Tuesday mental health humor, fine line, cartoon The Fine Line Between Genius and Insanity Cartoon and blog discussed the uproar over Ben Stiller’s movie. There is a fine line between being humorous and insulting, as well. Obviously, I believe humor can heal but you need to appreciate the importance of being kind. This particular blog had a few heartfelt comments from readers. Please check out what AutismInsights, SinisterDan, and Starbright had to share about their feelings on the film. I haven’t seen it. But it has raised quite a controversy!
Wednesday Mental Health Humor cartoon Sanity and Vacationing on a Vacant Mind blog spoke about the effective ways of keeping your sanity. 1. Stick to a wellness program…taking your medications and keep your Doctor’s number at hand. 2. Start charting your moods. 3. Find Support or a Peer Group. 4. Establish a Wellness Tool Box and Coping Skills Bag. 5. Be sure to openly communicate with your loved one. This is what he had to say: “Great Cartoon- but normally when my Sanity leaves, he prefers long sleeves. But that’s a minor quibble.”
