Mental Health Humor: The Mental Health Movement… Eviction!

Do you remember the old advertisements for Tripple A? (AAA) Went something like this, “Sooner or later you’re going to break-down and call Tripple A.” It’s like the the man who always carries an umbrella, he knows that it is going to rain, just does not know when. So, where am I going with this? Well, any one who lives hand to mouth or pay check to pay check will understand that sometimes all it takes is a bump in the road to wipe out every thing you saved up for.
This is my point, if you are living with a mental disorder and you work and pay your bills and feed your family and maintain a balance that allows this, then you can really understand. See, I’m a father of four, I run my own business, and I live with bipolar disorder. My major down slide was back in March 2008… I consider that my full blow “episode”. I landed in the hospital and when I got out, I was not able to work but I still had some money come in. Well, months went by and working was hard, getting up and out of bed was hard. The fact is the blog was my only life line for a few months. But I know, I needed to get back on my feet. I did but I kept falling and getting up and falling again. Well, the work never got done and the economy is drying up and two months ago I went down hill again and this time I’m better, but I got back into the same hole and now we have to move… This was all because of basically unforeseen occurrence, circumstances, and illness….
