When you move, you sometimes , no, you ALWAYS find some old forgotten photos. Some you might wish stayed undiscovered. But this one is not one of them! It is a treasure for my wife and I and holds so much meaning. You might see, just me kneeled down with a painted wall a picture with a messy room off to the right. You would be only half right. See that is me at the ripe age of 19. I was just out of high school at my apartment I rented. My girl friend and future wife was at Filenes Basement buying a wedding gown. Now most people would be running for the hill if their girlfriend was buying that type of dress when you have only been dating four months!
She was there and I was in my room in Arlington, Massachusetts looking at my wall and reading a poem she wrote me called ‘Flowers That Bleed‘. Next thing, I knew I had my pastels out and I started drawing on the wall. She came by that night before heading home to talk and I showed her, her picture. She got married in that dress a year later. And the dress was almost as stunning and beautiful and pure as she was on that day!
Ahhh, packing to move, what a nice way to jog you down memory lane.
