Video Game Therapy 

 Is this a joke? Video Game Therapy???  But it is true although mostly under-researched. Well that was until Nintendo’s Wii video game system came onto the scene.  Then it was mostly a lame excuse to play… Well, at least, it was my excuse. When the Wii came out, with an operating system to get people off the sofa and into the action or game play, it lead to lots of different studies.  Doctors have used the system to help with rehab and even gave it the  nic-name Wiihabilitation (see more about it here )

I know that I sometimes use gaming online and off as a tool to “zone out” when things get stressful or when rage starts to take over and when I recognize more of my symptoms.  The problem has always been I would not be able to quit.  I would go for weeks and weeks to the point of obsession to get to the next level.  It took me a long to   find a balance, but in truth I really think, I just replaced the gaming with blogging.  The difference is with gaming I had to spend money and with blogging I am actually making money …
