The Charlie Brown Syndrome: Just saying YES, so you can sleep!

This past week I was off my meds. Well, I ran out of one of them just before the Holiday.  I was told I could get them on Monday… the problem, that was 6 days away.  Has this ever happened to you?  Having a gap in the meds after you have been on them for 10 months straight, well, the effect can be subtle and then boom!  It is quite obvious that something is off… normally, it’s your wife or husband that notices first.

The first and second days were o.k., but by Friday morning.. The racing thoughts and the self-talk just took over and I could feel the rage building… I started snapping at every thing and that is not nice to be around…

I’ll let my wife who should be editing this tell you a little about how I get… Now mind you, I have no clue what she is going to write.  This way you can get a honest look at it.

Chato’s wife:  Oh boy, now he wants me to enlighten you about his “off” moods…snapping - total understatement..hope these words won’t be used against me at a later day :) Well, let’s just simply say: “OUCH!” …excruciating emotional pain…i’m trying to recover as well. He seems to be coming out of it (the dark side) and i’m thankful and anxious for relief for the both of us!! Brighter, happier, peaceful days ahead…holding onto hope :)

Now I am still writing and she has not answered yet… She will once she edits this post.

Needless to say I need my meds, so I took my Serroquel and it helped with the racing thoughts and some of the other stuff.. But that med just knocks me out with 50mg and I took 200mg to get a quick fix… 15 hours of sleep later, I was feeling better-ish.  The cartoon above came about because when I was half out of it, my girls would ask me for stuff and well that is what it sounded like … :)
