Suicide - it’s a subject that needs to be talked about this time of year. Now you may believe, it is because during the holidays is the highest cases of Suicide . But you would be wrong! It just gets the most media and has a bit more awe and shock to the average person that does not live with a “disorder”.
If you or someone you love is having a hard time and is in crisis, please seek help right now or call 911 without delay!
Suicide is not the answer! Even if we may believe that it will be best for everyone if I were gone… The truth is it won’t and it would just cause my kids to grow up thinking their father did not love them enough to stick around through the touch times. I know on this site, we try to add humor to every aspect of living with a mental disorder. It is true there is some dark humor that goes along with suicide. I believe this is a line that has to be crossed sometimes, in order to get subject matter discussed… Although, I don’t feel today’s cartoon comes any way near that dark humor I’m talking about. Actually, I’m sure a few people might now even know the real subject matter is about suicide.
What ever the case , we are talking about it and that is good. So now lets take it to the next set and see if we can’t refresh ourselves on how to help ourselves or our loved ones who may be suicidal this time of year.
