Suicide in on the rise in the military!

Published by chatobstewart at 11:22 am under NEW CARTOON Edit This

Suicide in on the rise in the military! One in five are dealing with some type of mental illness.  Many believe the numbers to be higher with all the unreported cases.  “Army Strong” thinking makes depression or PTSD a weakness.  When your taught you’re the best of the best and when your indoctrinated that you can’t be weak then it’s a melting pot for mental distress.  It’s only now after current events that it is sadly ever so evident how badly thinks can go even with in the place that is set up to help.  Call it terrorism, or a crazed gun man but the Accused Fort Hood Shooter did work in the mental health field.   And now the new stats are out about suicide with in the military, 16 in October and from January 2009 till now 133 soldiers took there own lives making the two year total 248 men and woman.  Here is the MSMBC report
