Don’t tell me you have never done it!  Every one has in one way or another returned a gift some one gave them.  If, you have done that than maybe you re-gifted it!  I know my wife and I did that with a wedding gift years ago…  You know the type of gift that you know you will never… EVER use from that family friend you can’t even remember their name or why they are even at the wedding in the first place. Not that you don’t appreciate the thought but you know someone else who could use it or is in need - more than you!

What a Snowy Week for a lot of folks! Hope everyone is surviving the stormy, snowy weather o.k.  We shoveled or tackled a lot of deep topics this week including Suicide. No one wants to think Suicide could actually affect their family. But it is a harsh reality for more people than most realize.  So, we all need to get educated about specific Mental Health Issues and Topics including Suicide. Hopefully that knowledge can help save a life! I hope each of you had a good week. Did you have a favorite cartoon this week? Please let me know which one and why?    You’re right, Chato; the “blockhead” cartoon isn’t meant to be funny; almost all of us can relate to it..I was name called something terrible all through school, talked about when I left school and started married life..I just didn’t seem to fit in very well (I do understand that my behavior left alot to be desired…making bad decisions, raising H— when I was super manic…) After 20 years of active therapy I’ve settled down a lot, and seem to be fitting into the group here at the apartment complex! I just hope I can continue on the straight and narrow!!!

   I don’t do too well when the weather goes down extremely cold and I am stuck in my apartment. It’s bound to make me depressed and more than a little cranky…as long as I can get outside I can make it through till spring.

   It sounds good as a joke. But yes sometimes we ignore our parents so much that they have to resort to silly things to catch our attention. That is really sad.

I have to admit at first glance this cartoon might not seem to be about mental health, but I sure you it one of them most basic evidence to the mental spectrum!  Truly, it looks at the fundamental base of mental health.  Some might even term this as the quintessential foundation of every human psyche. It even can be linked to our very beginning with Adam and Eve…  And it my belief that it has been the downfall of man ever since… What IS it?  Obsession for the booty!

If you are a man then you know what I mean… and If you don’t well then read this again, and again and again, till you  get it.

Literary Madness

This cartoon might give you a chuckle or two to the many writers, poets and book worms that visit.  You will notice the  conversation is grammatically correct. My wife likes it and when I showed it to her she cracked up laughing, that does not happen often when I show the cartoons to her… I have to give her an explanation why some of the cartoons would be funny…  See sometimes the only people that seem to get some of the cartoons are people living with mental illness.  That is just how it should be since these are our cartoons, from our point of view.

 Just wanted to remind you to make sure you read over the last two posts, that would be a great help and you can get a cartoon drawn about you.
