About
Welcome, over the last few months I have wanted to updated this page but just see to for get or just now have too much time… So why should today be any different. I will tell you more about me later and if you keep reading the blog you will learn more about me than I should you ever really want to know.
I’m back -
Good Evening! You see that sexy man? It’s me Chato with my new looks! Yes, that is a cow boy hat on this city boy! I am wearing it in homage to a good friend! It hangs on my wall for me to see daily to remember his fight, his success and his recovery!
We know that even though we joke here and use humor to help deal with our disorders the fact is these a
re serious issues! It is my hope that with the cartoons, I may in some way help educate and reduce stigma while tickling your funny bone once in a while.
We the consumer, people with mental disorders, make up almost 20% of our population. Yet, understanding us and helping family and friends with mental illness can be very challenging to say the least! With each cartoon, we will post some links and other information about the disorder the cartoon highlights. Remember, “Even in laughter the heart may be in pain.” So it’s o.k. to enjoy a cartoon or two even if you feel down or dealing with an episode. Bring them to your group or your therapists or any place that has the right audience. Spread the word, “it’s o.k. to laugh!” and I’ll do my best to try and make that happen.
I just wanted to show off my new t-shirt from Today.com. And say “thanks” for giving me an opportunity to showcase my cartoons here.
E-mail /Post /print our cartoons every where you can and link to this blog. You too will be helping others just by adding a smile to their day!
So, let’s change the world one cartoon at a time.
